and Stevie Nicks, continues his longlasting solo career with his upcoming

While his work as a producer seems to create almost overwhelming commercial
success for the respective act or artist, in his solo-work and with his own
band projects QUANTUM JUMP and THINKMAN, Englishman Rupert Hine has always
preferred to satisfy his inquiring musical mind and his exploratory artistic

assembled and finished during a three year period in London.  >>The Deep End<<
is a vintage Rupert Hine album, but one like you've never heard from him
before: For the first time in more than fifteen years Hine did not predetermine
a concept behind the album.  While each of his last albums overtly dealt with 
a general topic and global concerns (media manipulation, ecology, etc.), the 
songs on >>The Deep End<< only have a common undercurrent: They are much more
personal nature and display mainly the ideas and feelings that exist within,
and occasionally between, the two writers themselves, Rupert Hine and his
longtime creative partner Jeannette-Therese Obstoj.

>>SILVER SHOES IN THE RAIN<< contemplates the innocence of youth and features
the excellant guitar work of Phil Palmer (Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Joan
Armatrading).  >>THE SHALLOW END<< was co-written by Underworld-members Karl
Hyde and Rick Smith, who also play on that track along with Michael Witzel's
(Bliss, Chris DeBurgh) amazing drum track.  >>MY MOON AND YOUR SUN<< was per-
formed almost entirely by Rupert, only Phil Palmer assisting on acoustic guitar.
>>EYES LIKE TWINS<< is a song that reflects on REAL love denying time.  Among
the players is guitarist Jamie West-Oram, a member of The Fixx most wellknown
for his work on several Tina Turner albums and Steve Farris from Mister, 
Mister.
